Mosaic exists to create opportunities for people while they prepare them for further education, life and work while sharing Christ’s love.

THE CHALLENGE

Over time the Mosaic brand had become segmented, and they came to us looking for a strategic branding solution that would work over many sub-brands.

A STRATEGIC SOLUTION

In order to dig into the heart of Mosaic we held a series of interviews with job readiness trainees, volunteers and staff. Through this discovery process we were able to determine the need for a comprehensive branding solution. We recognized the need for branding that would make itself available to many sub-brands. Working closely with their staff we crafted a brand narrative, website and creative assets.

BRANDING

One of the first things we worked on with Mosaic was a logo that could work across their sub-brands. Mosaic has six social enterprises, which are businesses run by Mosaic for grace-filled employment opportunities for job trainees. For example, they have a restaurant called Mosaic on Main where they employ their job trainees, and is also a place for connection over good food in the community. For the Mosaic brand and sub-brands, we created a mark that could take on a variety of colors and still keep a consistent design.

STEPS TO GREATNESS

Mosaic is more than just a jobs training program. Individuals start by receiving job training and are matched with a mentor, who helps and supports them along the way. Once they’re ready to work, they get a job at one of Mosaic’s social enterprises, where they can receive real job experience with extra grace and understanding. Then, Mosaic places that person at a job in one of their network of local businesses. They also provide transportation to and from work if needed, to raise the probability that they will succeed at their new workplace. By providing support for people as they travel this pathway, they are more likely to be successful.

Mosaic developed this amazing Steps to Greatness program, and they needed a compelling way to communicate it visually. We developed a design that visual communicated “steps” and the information about the program.

In conjunction with new branding, we updated their website to reflect the brand change. Over the course of a few months we built a user-friendly website that clearly communicates the heart and soul of who they are as well as their passion for what they do.
